The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog.

Time devoted to reading: I want to read at least 2 hours every weekday and 3 hours each weekend day.

• Read at least three books
• Finish the two books I started prior to the readathon
• Read at least 1,000 pages
• Update Twitter at least three times per day

Bout of Books 6.0 is over! It was amazing how much I was able to accomplish this week thanks to this incredible event that I love to death. I’m sad that it’s come to an end, but there will be another one soon enough. *waits on edge of seat*

 

Time devoted to reading: I managed to meet, and some days exceed, my goal of reading 1 hour each weekday, and 3 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

• Wrote a review for one of the books I read this week (coming tomorrow)
• Read one graphic novel
• Updated Twitter at least three times per day
• Participated in two challenges
