This is probably the most on the nose analysis of it I’ve read yet. I like that at this point she looks at Jamie as a friend, and can relate to him as another outsider in the castle, and can certainly see the foundation for real development as time goes on and her hopes for getting back to Frank are dashed. It’s so interesting to read thoughts from those of you who’ve read it before, great job on keeping us all in the dark! =)

I agree that Claire still loves Frank and is missing him, and probably views Jamie not as romantically as I’m ready for her to. Truthfully, though, I’m rooting for Jamie. This is my first time reading and I already like him more than Frank. I’m not sure yet whether or not Frank is out of the picture – probably not – but I can’t lie when I say that I’m ready for some Jamie and Claire chemistry to start building.
